The Concord Chamber Singers have been in continuous existence since Blaine Shover
brought sixteen singers together in a 1967 performance. The group has more than doubled
in size in the intervening years and became incorporated as a non-profit
organization in 1974. In addition to annual Christmas and spring concerts in Bethlehem,
the Singers have performed with the Allentown Symphony, The Allentown Band, the Philadelphia Brass and Lehigh University's Choral Union. CCS has
served as the guest choir at Lehigh University's Baccalaureate service since 1976. While most
singers live in the Lehigh Valley, members do come from as far as Harrisburg to
rehearse each Friday night at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bethlehem.
